Visit the Studio in Dawson City

A working goldsmith's bench and a Yukon art gallery, at the corner of 3rd and York in the historic core of Dawson City.

Where to Find Us

The studio is a square log building at the corner of 3rd Avenue and York Street, in the old part of Dawson City, a few streets up from the river. It is a work space rather than just a showroom, and the same room is also a gallery featuring original Yukon art.

When We're Open

The studio is open to visitors from mid-May to mid-September. During the season the hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, closed Tuesdays. Outside those months it is closed to walk-ins, but I answer email year-round and take on commission work through the winter.

Watch a Piece Take Shape

If I am in, and during the season I usually am, you can stand at the bench and watch the work happen: hammer, torch, and file. Ask whatever you like about the gold, where it came out of the ground, why it is 21K instead of 14K, or how long a wedding band takes. Take as long as you want, and nobody is going to follow you around the room.

Most people find their way here while they are in Dawson for the summer. Some leave with a piece they watched me make, while others leave with an idea we finish together by email once they are back home.

The Gallery

The same building is a working gallery. Alongside my own jewellery I show original pieces by other Yukon artists, so there is more to see than gold alone, and it is worth the walk in for that even if you are not in the market for a piece.

Can't Make It to Dawson?

Most of my work is made for people I never meet in person, so a trip to the Yukon is never a requirement. We can plan a piece together by email from wherever you happen to be, and I will ship it to you once it is finished.
